La Gargante

La Gargante is a cosy wine bar and dining cellar nestling at 10 Rue de la Chapelle, on a small square in the inner harbour. Our establishment offers a friendly atmosphere, ideal for relaxing with friends or family.

We offer a variety of carefully selected wines from different regions of France and beyond, which you can taste on the premises or take away. To accompany your drink, our menu features local specialities such as smoked tuna from the island, préfous, oysters from Noirmoutier, spreads, planks of Iberian charcuterie and mature cheeses.

La Gargante is also a lively place, where music plays an important role. We regularly organise outdoor concerts on our terrace and indoor piano performances, creating a warm and festive atmosphere.

Our space is designed to host a variety of social events. On the terrace, we can accommodate up to 40 people. Inside, a small English-style lounge seats 8, while the area around the bar seats around ten. For groups, a private room with a separate entrance is available (no PRM access), seating around 30 people. The bar and toilets are accessible to people with reduced mobility.

We are open every day except Monday, from 10.30am to 2pm and from 5.30pm to 11pm. Opening times may be extended at weekends and during the holidays.
