Anne-Françoise Touanen grew up in Brittany.
She then studied languages in Munich.
Alongside her work as an official translator and interpreter, she held a number of exhibitions in Germany between 1989 and 2006. Since 2005, the artist has lived and worked on the Ile d'Yeu.
